Delivery Information

We put the same amount of care into packaging and posting our products as we do into making them. Each Celebration cake comes in its own protective packaging, and we have used recyclable materials wherever possible. As you can see above, our cakes each come in a beautiful strong white and silver box.

We freshly bake and decorate our cakes and biscuits to order,  please note we have a  seven days lead time on all our orders. 


Delivery costs:

- Mainland UK postage is free of charge for orders over £30. For orders under £30 we charge a subsidised £5. IOW £13.00, Northern Ireland and IOM (postcodes BT & IM) £23.00, Highlands of Scotland £16.00, Channel Islands £22.00

- For delivery on a Saturday there is a surcharge of £19.60. If you need a Saturday delivery please call us before placing your order.

- International postage options are available on a selection of products. We strongly recommend that only Fruit Cakes are sent abroad as these are more robust over longer distances. If you have any queries please don't hesitate to contact one of our team. International delivery costs will be calculated at the checkout.

How long does it take for a cake to arrive?

We require seven days notice to process an order as all our cakes are baked and decorated to order. 

Can I specify a delivery date?

To specify a delivery date, please select a date during the checkout process. Your cake should arrive within 2 days of this date.

It is important to note that FedEx cannot guarantee the delivery will arrive "next day". If this is vital to you we suggest you request delivery a day or two before the actual Birthday or event. We cannot be held responsible if the parcel does not arrive on the specified day.

How will my order be sent?

We are partnered with Fedex UK and Fedex International, who provide a traceable delivery service.

International Delivery

A selection of our products are available for international delivery- this is noted on the bottom of each product listing. We can only send fruitcakes Internationally. The delivery charges for overseas prices vary, and some restrictions apply. Fiona Cairns Ltd cannot be held responsible should local customs authorities confiscate any item or charge import duty. Please be aware that for all parcels entering the USA, the FDA (Food & Drugs Administration) impose a custom clearance charge fee which is payable at the point of delivery by the recipient. Fiona Cairns Ltd cannot pre-pay this charge. International delivery times can vary, we recommend you allow a couple of extra days for delivery.

When will my delivery arrive?

Our deliveries are made Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays) between 8am and 6pm, and require signature on receipt. If no one is at home, a card will be left and delivery will be attempted on the next working day. Please note this does not include Saturdays. At the checkout stage, there is an option to input delivery information to the driver- if you have a safe place such as a porch to leave your package. 

FedEx do not guarantee to deliver next day. Please order for delivery a day or two before the event date to avoid disappointment. We cannot be held responsible for orders which are not delivered on the selected day.


Can you gift wrap my products? 

All our celebration cakes come in a smart white and silver box. We provide an additional gift wrapping service for £2.50 on all our products. If you choose to have your products gift wrapped, they will come with ribbon and a gift tag onto which we can hand-write a message for you. If you select Gift Wrapping we will not put an invoice or any paperwork in the parcel, so please remember to include your name so the recipient knows who to thank.
