With International Women’s Day on the 8th and Mothering Sunday hot on its heels on the 10th, we are celebrating women everywhere – and especially those special women in our female-founded and female-led Fiona Cairns baking team, who have been at the heart of our business for nearly 40 years. So buy a box of our delicious fairy cakes and pick a bunch of now-blooming yellow pom-pom-ed mimosa – a traditional Women’s Day gift – for the special ladies in your life. (Treat yourself too, while you’re at it.)

Sandwiched between Mothering Sunday and Easter, like the buttercream in a wonderfully indulgent cake, comes St Patrick’s Day. So pick up a cake – our Irish friends will find them at Dunnes – to celebrate. Embellishing it at home with green sprinkles is optional, but recommended.

Here at the bakery, we’re gearing up for Easter – the last day of this month – and the ovens are working full-blast to get our delicious cakes to you on time, as are our feisty (if knackered) bakery queens, who’ll decorate them with 50,000 mini Easter eggs this month!
