Introduction
There’s no need for us cake-fanciers to crash and burn our resolutions. We’re with you all the way, welcoming 2024 and January – the very best time of year to bring colour, warmth and self-care into our lives, in whichever way suits us best.
We need some self-care here at the bakery too, as Christmas was manic. We turned out thousands of Christmas cakes… But there’s no time for us to snooze in our mixing bowls as it’s not long til Valentine’s Day, with Mother’s Day hot on its heels and soon after Easter!
But first, there’s Brew Monday on 15th January: a day when the Samaritans urge us all to share a cuppa and a cake with someone, to celebrate friendship and show that bit of TLC.
